Sorry about the poor resolution. They look fine on my iphone but they must get compressed when I upload them here.

It was sold to me as a male from one of the online vendors, and because they're reputable, I assumed he was a male. However, I am beginning to suspect otherwise because of his lack of color given his age (5 months).

well I do see some color coming in around the face but at the tail looks kind of straight maybe a slight bulge so it's kind of weird I not real sure. But I'm no expert either.

Some mature really young as some do not. My newest panther is a late bloomer as well but I'm 100% he's a boy. There should be a huge difference and growth spurt around 6 or 7 months.

I'm thinking male. If you get a chance could you get a better picture closer to the vent?

Some are late bloomers and grow slower than others. You could just have a late bloomer.

I am thinking male also! I had a 5 month old Sambava that was greyish with a few red dots at that age. Not much color at all for a male and he turned out beautifully! He does look small for 5 months though.

Thanks, all. I agree, they all mature at such different ages, it's crazy. They're like pre- and post-pubescent boys. His clutch mate could eat him. But, i have females that have more color on them than this guy. I suppose I could just wait a month until it becomes more apparent.

My only concern was what the breeder said to me at the time of sale. He told me they had only females left. I told him I had enough females so was looking for a nice male. Next day, he emailed me back and said he found one male mixed in with the females.

Hey, I give you guys who are good at sexing a kudos. I know the concept behind it, but I can't actually do it. I start doubting and second guessing and then they eventually all look the same. One breeder have told me that it's more common to mistake a male as being a female than the other way around.

I have to say male. Looking at the shape in the base of the tail, there is already more of a taper to it than in my 8 month female. I would expect you will start seeing some more color soon. Just keep the good bugs and nutrition coming.
