i have a reptarium and i had the screen zipped open like i always do when i am in the room.. well i heard some moving around and i saw my veiled grab a tac off the wall next to her cage that was holging some plastic to stop overspray from her misting system!!! like a flat on top sharp metal tack! i reached in and tried to get it out of her mouth before she swallowed it with no luck. just alot of hissing.

what should i do?! is there any way to induce vomiting that wont kill her? and is there any chance she can survive passing a tack?!

pleasse help i dont want her to die!!!

Yes, go to a vet ASAP. They may be able to anaesthetize her and get the tack out of her stomach before it does too much damage.

So far nothing.. all the vets around my area said there's nothing I could do... except hope she passes it. Which I don't think will happen. The top of the tack was plastic so I'm hoping her stomach acid will dissolve some of it . Who knows ill let you guys know how it works out thanks for the help

my guess would be surgical removal , how large is this cham ? you might try feeding it a large amount of feeders that have been gut loaded with dried prunes or some other laxative in hopes that it will pass it, but it doesnt sound good. have to admit , never heard that one before / edit there is a veterinarian who is a cf member (mwheelock) you might want to shoot him a pm
