so my 2 month old female chameleon has been bulging out both of her eyes for the past two days and scratching them on the vines/branches. is this something I should be concerned about? it's more often today than it was yesterday, I'm really worried. please please help!!

If they are going back in, and she is not closing them all the time it's nothing to worry about she is just cleaning, and adjusting them. I know it can look pretty unsettling the first time you see it, but it's what they do.

that's a relief. could she do it more often in a glass tank? she's in a glass right now but will be moving to a screen when I get. (should be this week)

I don't think the glass has anything to do with it. They just do that to adjust, and clean their eyes.

If she is doing it a lot it means something is bothering her eyes. I would mist her like crazy, make sure it is just the really fine foggy mist that lands on her face. I've heard warm water helps. If she won't tolerate a fine mist landing on her face, try using artificial tears. Use the artificial tears without any preservative in them (they're more expensive in individual single-use packets). I suppose you could also make up a sterile saline solution. Keep flushing the eyes. Come back here with pictures of her eyes if that doesn't solve the problem.

this actually makes a lot of sense.. she closes her eyes and turns her head away usually when I'm misting her or her cage! thank you, I'll definitely try it out!
