Hello everyone, i am wondering on your opinion, i live I n mminnesota its pretty darn dry up here in winter. Im ready to put screen up ive done the doors the bottom and the top, . ive looked at dragonstrand cages they have the solid plastic sides and back of their enclosures , so with being said would plexi glass or a shower curtian work for sides and back or should i use screening.

Using plexi glass would be on the same principal as dragon strands breeder series enclosures. Anything to help keep moisture in and is waterproof will work. I'd make it removable so come summer humidity you won't have too much humidity contained. Btw, cool looking enclosure.

Thank you. i was thinkin the same just have to figure out how to do yet.

I made plexiglas "storm windows" for a wood frame cage. Attached them with simple window screen toggles screwed into the frame. You can make toggles out of wood screws and small pieces of wood or plastic. I could remove them individually as the season required. Worked great!

Thanks great idea! im thinking in future plexi glass with the size of enclosure it would add another $70.00 on the build so instead im going to cut size i need off of clear shower curtains and velcro the paremeter of the back and sides , im still screening the back and sides so no convicts. When im done ill post it

This will work fine. Try to find heavier weight "crystal clear" shower curtains. They have grommets along the top you can attach to the cage frame with zip ties, and the heavier weight will hang neatly and be easier to cut straight. Velcro can work, but if you are going to take them off and on frequently it will tear. Zip ties at strategic points will hold well, can be cut loose, and will allow some "leaking" air movement.

Another option is perforated aluminum if you wanted more ventilation. Just another option besides screen or plexiglass. I thought it looked nice. The only downside is you cant see through it.
