Why do you keep starting threads? People are responding but they are not going to repeat themselves in 15 different threads Hun. :)

im disorganised lol ile stay on this one...promise and i will cut a little hole in the top of my cage for my uvb but what about my full spectrum?

woah woah woah, you just need a UV reptisun (or glo) lamp with 5.0 bulb, not sure why youd cut a hole either, place the UV bulb by the basking lamp so your cham can get the UV when he basks, AND you DO need D3, about once a month or every 2-3 weeks. You dont need 2 different misters, you can either hand pump or use auto, you dont need both 3-4 times a day for 5 minutes, one or the other.

substrate=paper towel ---- k

uvb light placement=??? ---- top of the cage if you have a screen top

full spectrum lightplacement=??? ---- this is a house light right? Top too.

waterfall=no-no ---- exactly

mister=3-4 times a day for 5 mins ---- 5 mins is a bit unless it's a small spray and you have good drainage

spray mister=2-3 times a day --- wait what about the mister

plants=real are better, artificial ok ---- read the live plant database it'll help you out - don't get artificial plants that can be eaten

liquid vitamin=no-no -- i dont know

food vitamin=2-3 times a week very lightly(no d3) ---- im not good with this

In the other thread below this he says that his TOP is WOOD so I suggested cutting a hole and covering with screen to allow the UVB and basking lamp. Ive seen people put it on the backside (not sure if thats an option for him), but not sure if this is safe?

if you misunderstood if full spectrum means heat lamp than its ok. but just read my other post, it covers pretty much everthing.

Well excuse me for not reading his numerous threads ;), yes then cut a hole in the top, but make sure the cham cant get too close and its at least 8 inches from your cham

And UVB only reaches 6-8 inches and will not go through glass or plastic.

so your sayin place uv and baskin together or...?
and only choose one so i could just have a mister on in the morning at night, somthing like that?

A mister to go off 3-4 times throughout the day to allow random watering for the cham to hydrate itself..or the cheaper route to do it yourself...

5.0 UVB TUBE, not spiral..LONG so this would sit horizontally across the cage and a basking bulb would sit over one corner of the cage. Do a search. GO to forums and click on enclosures. You will see tons of pics and criticism of them so you can get a clearer picture.

This isn't a huge forum joe. You have to wait at least a few hours to get multiple solid responses. As far as I know, people have work and stuff. But if you can hold your horses and make one thread, I am sure people can provide you with solid responses in an organized manner.

The short hand, bad formatting, and vague topic titles don't help very much either. It's more forum etiquette than anything, I think.

i does not mention this on a website, i proly going to get shouted at lol but do chameleons use heat mats? :eek:

is it uncooth to ask how old you are and are you sure you're ready to care for such a demanding animal? Remember that this is a life you will be responsible for and not just another "cool" thing to have.

Read the links that were provided. They sum up just about everything you need to know. Then come back and post questions to clarify.
