Poop

I notice that there is a lot of poop on the leaves and such in the cage.

Is this something I need to clean up as it is very small but I'm not sure what happens to it. I know with my bearded dragon I have to remove it when he does his thing.

I have the dirt as the substrate.

Nothing really happens to it. It just dries up. I like to keep my cages clean, so as soon as I see it in there I remove it. Dirt is not really recommended as a substrate as your chameleon may eat it and it might cause digestive problems. Most of us use nothing on the bottom, or paper towels.

Eventually your chameleon's cage will start to smell. Clean cage = healthy chameleon!
