PPQ 526 Permit

I'm thinking about getting a colony of helix aspersa snails for my Jackson's chameleon. Apparently jacksonii go crazy over them. You need a PPQ 526 permit to transfer the snails across state lines. How would I get one of those? Is there anyone on the forums who has gotten one?

Do you know if those permits are required for snails no matter what? I was wanting to get some for my veiled but was hoping to find somewhere cheaper than 50$ for 10 of them haha

I know that it's illegal to import snails to the US. The helix aspersa are classified as pests, so you do need the permit for them. Not sure about other snails...
