Praying mantis eggs

does anyone have any info on hatching these things I got 14 eggs and hatched one I used a deli cup with holes on the lid when it hatched I moved them to a plastic shoe box with a screen lid and they all died just trying to figure out what I did wrong so I can be more successful with the rest any info will help thanks

When you say you have "14 eggs" do you mean you have 14 *ooths?* Mantids lay their eggs in a large batch that hardens up and looks like a big gray blob. Inside are dozens or hundreds of actual eggs. Hatching them just means putting them in a container that the nymphs can't escape from when they hatch, at room temperature.

Yea if I wanted to hear all the tree huggers cry I'm feeding them to lizards lol
