Does anyone use probiotics in chameleons? any benefits?
and if so what type? As they heat whole prey items with GI tracts.. they must get lots of beneficial bacteria through food.. but curious if this is something recommended at times of stress, post worming etc etc..

using Vit A specifically as a supplement.. yes or no? part of a very minimal low dose short term say five days when a chameleon is showing difficulty shedding, general "poor doing" or eye issues.. is not a bad idea??

Or a specific addition to a once a month or 2 X a month addition to Multivitimin rotation??

We'll, my Cham was on Baytril for a pretty long time and I was going to give him probiotic. NutriBAC is the product, but it turned out Canada doesn't let it in. :( So I couldn't order it. I bought fish oil as vitamin A and as far as I know you can give it like 1-2 drops a month. You can overdose it too. Why don't you use just normal reptile vitamin with vitamin A in it?

Ive used vitamin a few times in my supplement rotation as needed. When I have young ones with some eye issues, and nothing else seems to work, They get a drop of Vit A Once a month for 2 months. Thats it. Most of the time it clears up.

Also its been said a few times that giving vit A during the gestation period and post is beneficial to a female cham. I give my gravid ladies one drop of vit A on day 15 of their gestation period.
