Problem getting true colors to show

I am having trouble getting true colors to transmit from my phone to my computer in an email. Then, when I post the photos here, the rich colors don't show up on CF. I had been hoping it was my monitor setting but it seems that isn't the case.

If you look at some recent photos I posted, "Fabulous Red Gracilior Claws," his claws look pink. In real life they are really dark blood red, not pink. My cell phone's picture shows his true colors. The phone or the email program must be dropping data when I email the picture from my photo gallery to my email account (to download onto my computer). I even enlarged the picture on my phone to the same size as the picture showing up on my computer screen and it was still darker although it was starting to pink up.

What setting can I do to get enough data transmitted to show the colors? Note: I have a severe tech disability.

I'm not sure...that shouldn't be the case with transmitting pictures over e-mail. I would believe it to be a display difference, is your phone the only device that shows the enhanced colors? If thats not the case, perhaps you should attempt to put it on dropbox, or google drive. (if you've got a smart phone) These are other ways of transferring pics to your computer. You could also try uploading the pictures straight to these forums, then downloading it from your computer. Does your phone do wire transfer, where you can usb the charger to the computer and it is able to transfer data? That would be the best way to do it, without having data dropped. I definitely know the modern phones have such good cameras, that pictures can sometimes be a few megabytes, in which case e-mails could have a hard time fully transferring them.

What are you taking the pictures on? Your phone? I use photobucket it lets you upload full size files free and link to them or download them from another machine. No loss of quality from original image, problem with email is that it often compresses the file and you loss data and image quality.

You can also do one of two things; obvious one, try a better camera than your phone OR try using photo editing software (GIMP is free) to get what you think reflect the more natural colors.

I saw your original post. They looked like a very dark pink/red color to me. Still very striking in color. Perhaps as a newer member it stood out to me. They're so very different from a vieleds....

I'm not a photo editor or w/e but have a technical background, so here's my 2ct.

If compessed incorrectly you can lose colors, but your average 'save for web' feature will not do this, it will decrease the dpi (dots per inch).

I think computer is probably an LCD (or maybe LED) screen while your phone could be an AMOLED, super HD AMOLED or an OLED screen...
Even between LED and LCD there's a difference in color depth, with OLED or AMOLED that difference will be even greater.
On top of that phones have their screens set for colors to 'pop' while most PC monitors are set with higher brightness with settings that are easier on the eyes after viewing them for longer periods of time.
On top of that the resolution of your mobile screen is much greater compared of that on a monitor or tv since it often has around the same or greater pixel count as a TV or monitor while being way smaller.

Pardon me, but from what I've seen the nails are striking. I'm not sure how much more vivid the pics can get!! I think you're good, the original color made an impact on me!

Different browsers have different color profiles. Check explorer vs chrone vs safari , for example.
That might be part of it.
The other explanation is that the color profile is being changed somewhere in the upload process - if you give me more info we can figure it out
