I would like to give a huge, huge shout out to James at Psychedelic Chameleons! He recently held a contest on facebook and I found out today that I won!! My "major award" is a baby male furcifer verrucosus; Lucy is getting a little brother!!
I am super excited to learn and practice husbandry for another species, especially a larger one (my "someday" species is Melleri). I love learning about chameleons, messing with plants and feeders, and coming up with new ideas for cages etc.(who doesn't love messing around with an enclosure design?). Even though I don't post often, I spend a lot of time on here reading, researching and trying to learn from others' mistakes or come up with hybrid solutions to my own problems.
These forums are such a valuable resource; they turned a chick with an impulse-buy Petco chameleon in a glass exo-terra into someone who can properly and confidently take on a new species.
Thank you all for what you contribute on here and all of your help when I have needed it; I'm so excited!!!!
