Put down the deposit on my first cham

Hello,

Been posting with newbie questions here for a few weeks now for my pending first Chameleon. I've been doing a lot of research on keeping Chams happy =)

I really had my heart set on an Ambilobe Panther and after soooo much searching I have finally found baby Ambilobes for sale from a reputable breeder in the UK!

The downside is that I have to wait about 8 weeks to pick him, and I may literally pop with excitement before that time is up. But damn, the sire looks pretty! Everyone likes seeing a great looking Cham so though I'd share :D

Working on his enclosure at the moment and will post pics for tips and pointers soon =)

Very nice! The anticipation just makes it better! You have alot of time to perfect his enclosure. Keep asking questions! Everyone here is always learning, so don't be shy. If they say they are not, run from them because they are full of crap!

Just think of the wait as giving you time to get your enclosure perfect.
I started thinking about getting pygmy chameleons in November, set up the enclosure in January, and had to wait 'til the end of March to get the pygmies, due to 1) few available at the time and 2) rather cold to ship to Michigan. It was worth the wait.

Amazing sire. He is so beautiful. Sure will look forward to seeing photos of your little guy. I hope your time moves quickly while you work on the enclosure. Congrats on your new family member.

Mark, I had to wait 6 MONTHS for my veiled! Worth it too! Chameleons are awesome!
Your gonna love it, congrats :)

I have a deposit on one of them aswell. Cant wait, not long now!! i am also new to keeping chams, it would be cool to get some viv ideas from each other.

Nice one! Yeah it's so exciting, but the waiting sucks! =)

I've been gathering bits for my enclosure over the past few weeks and plan on setting it all up this weekend. I'm sure we can both share our work and get some tips from others on the forums too =))
