Putting food in cage before Chams awake

So I was thinking about this summer when I go back to work between semesters if there would be any
Harm in putting his food in his cage before he's awake? Or if I should just reschedule his lights to turn on earlier and go off twelve hours after the new time? Thanks!

Why not? I free range my crickets when I feed them so I always have crickets loose in the cage.

By the time you feed them they have had their deep sleep and will wake up more easily...
I feed them every morning before I go to work and they still sleep, I have no other option since otherwise it will be in the late afternoon or evening.

My jax sleeps in the front of the cage and just opens his eyes sometimes, my panther mostly doesn't even wake.
I figured if my jax was really bothered by it he would have found an other spot by now.
I just do everything as careful as I can and don't disturb them at all other than putting in food.

On days when I don't feel great, I'll put their breakfast in at night before I go to sleep knowing that I'm not getting my lazy butt outta bed at 6 to give them breakfast. They're cup fed.

I don't see the harm in it. But if you're really worried you can put a little bit of food at the bottom of the cage or somethIng for the crickets. That's what I do sometimes when I feel like the better fed crickets then myself (lol) might get hungry and turn on tony (crickets are super ruthless).
