Pygmy food.

I've seen a few threads on this but was hoping to combine all the info in one place. What have people fed neonate-adult pygmys. Please report in.

With my adult female I have fed
-melanogaster fruitflies
-hydei fruitflies
-bean beetles

Others have reported
-mantid nymphs
-small crickets
-lesser waxmoths
-houseflies
-bluebottle flies(?)

Neonates will take
-hydei fruitflies
-melanogaster fruitflies
-pinhead crickets
-isopods?
-springtails?
-fungus gnats?

Melongaster I feel would be to small but I've seen my pygmy randomly snatch a fungus gnat but I doubt they'd be a good main feeder.

I agree fungus gnats would be too small for normal use-but variety if always good. My adult happily takes melanogaster fruitflies. I am unsure of what the upper size limit for things is though.

Fire brats are another good food. They are not commonly used in the states though. Phelsuma breeders in Europe use them a lot.
