Question About MistKing Timer

I've recently purchased another MistKing system with the new timer.

I have one question: How the heck do I hook it up to the system? The instructions go as far as explaining how to program it. No diagrams on hooking it up to the pump anywhere that I can find.

I went to the web site. No luck there but found this statement under 6. NOTES:

6.2 Tolerance of the timer is approximately 2 minutes per month.

What does that mean? Okay, that's two questions.

Hello jajeanpierre,

Mistking went through a recent timer change, is your timer a white one (old version) or the a black one (current version)?

This will help determine the set up.

The new timer came with the most recent system I just bought. I can't for the life of me figure out where to plug it into. I have the Ultimate system with the Zip Drip.

Okay, I just thought of another couple of questions: Can I run two MistKing systems off the one (old) timer?

What happens in a power outage--does either the old timer or the new timer try to drive the pump?

The new digital ones hook up directly to the wire connectors on the pumps, old ones are just a plug in timer.

But my Zip Drip hooks up there..... Do I hook it up between all the connections to the Zip Drip and the pump?

I hope my explanation makes a bit of sense:

Wires come out of pump, currently a bundle of wires forming a "Y" connection connect to that wire and then to Zip Drip.

Do I just separate right at that point, connect the timer closest to the pump, then connect the other half of the "Y" on the timer to the "Y" that ends up going to the Zip Drip?

See if this helps!

Just to be clear, in your photo--if you didn't have the timer on--the black wire from the power supply would be connecting to the red/black wires that then go to the Zip Drip and the pump? All that is done is insert the timer where the power supply wires make that first connection? I am just so afraid of wires and electricity!

Not a very elegant design. It's one thing to have those wires and connectors inside a box, but mine are on the floor in a hall or in the guest bath depending on which MistKing I use that timer on. Now more wires and things on the floor collecting crickets and fruit flies.

I called Climist once for some info and the guy I spoke to was full of info and ideas very helpful why not call Mist King I'm sure their CS will be just as helpful for you.
