Just wanted to know how long does a small eraser size slab last when in the cricket keeper? How long will it stay good WITHOUT being in the fridge?

Thank you :D

A small pc will last about 10min with 1000 crickets LoL Really depends on how many and how hungry they are.
It lasts about 2 weeks in the fridge if kept covered.

lol yea I read how much it lasts in the fridge on the bottle. I'm asking how long does it last outside the fridge. Lets say I don't have that many crickets and they didn't eat much so far. How long will it stay good before I have to change slabs? :)

In my experience in a bin filled with bugs (crickets, dubia, distanti, etc) it will last till it's eaten. However, if you put 2 cups worth in with 5 crickets I am sure it will dry up before they make it though it. Out in the open, not in the fridge, it will last till it dries out....which is a while;)

I was using half the size of an ice cube piece in with about 30 crickets. It got eaten in a few days. i now provide it in its powder form and they love it. i just give them another source to get water.

I usually get 30 small and 30 medium at a time which last me somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 days for my critters. I put in 1" x 3/4" x 3/4" slabs in both and it dries out in about 5 or 6 days but is generally mostly eaten then I cut a cube in half to last until the crickets are gone. They eat a lot less when I add fresh fruits and veggies and dry gut load.

It will last a little over a month in the fridge if sealed in a ziplock baggie. Of course I have no idea to tell if it has gone bad, I just throw it out after a month if there is any left because that's what it said on the bag.

Now 30 crickets will eat an entire piece of green leaf lettuce in about 2 days! I have noticed crickets seem to prefer veggies to anything else.
