question on chameleons

Well I had a veiled chameleon about 5 years ago and it died from a disease, I rushed in a bit before I got him and I think that may have also been the problem, not knowing enough....

but anyway I decided that I wanted to successfully keep one this time and read as much as possible before I purchase one.....

I forget mostly everything about chameleons that I had learned (probably because at the time I was 13) so i'm basically going to have to start all over...

for now could anyone point me out to an interesting, colorful chameleon that I could start reading about and figuring out what I am going to need?

thanks

my best advice would be to go the search tab and look up everything you can about housing, misting, supplements, lighting, etc.

Spend some time with us...........

Spend some time with us on this forum. Read the new posts every day and look at the pictures people post. If something looks interesting then take a lot of time to search this site for in-depth keeping information for that type. Take some time to decide on the type. Don't rush. There have been several people in recent months who have spent a lot of time getting things right before their new chameleon arrived at their home. They posted pictures of their set-up, listened to suggestions, did some modifications and ended up with a great place for their new cham to live in. If you do get a Veiled, you will have to go through Brad Ramsey's site from beginning to end too. Oh, and by the way, WELCOME :)
