question on lighting

i have a Exo-terra light canopy on top of my cage. i like the light canpoy and it seems to work fine. i right now have three of the zoo-med 100watt full spectrum daylight bulbs not the cfl bulbs. there seems to be no problem i think with this light. also for the basking spot on the cage i am using just a reg. 75 watt light bulb. is this set up ok or do i need to go to the cfl's

you need uvb, full spectrum doesnt neccessarily mean uvb, recommended bulb is the reptisun 5.0 linear bulb. cfl's are bad and should be forgotten.

are you talking about the Zoo Med Reptisun (Five - 5.0) Fluorescent Bulbs if i said cfl i ment these bulbs sorry

exactly. that or go with a mv setup, but only if you have a large cage.

The 5.0 needs to be a fluorescent tube ... not the compact bulb.
You need a fixture that will house the tube.
You are not currently providing UVB (the most important light)
