Questions from a new owner

I purchased my first Panther Chameleon 1-1/2 months ago. He was 3 months when I bought him (he's so cool) :)

I was wondering if some people here could share some of their expertise. I have a few questions if you'd like to help.

1. If I expose my cham to natural sunlight at least 1-1/2 hr a week.. How long should I have the uvb light on during the day?

2. How long is too long to keep the heat lamp on?

3. The breeder told me to use Miner-All O (He isn't a fan of the D3 that is in the Miner-All I) He told me Lightly dust the crickets every other feeding.
Is this to much for a baby cham?

Thanks in advance

The same amount of time.

I keep it on the same amount of time as my flourecent (about 12 hours)

I use 3 different dusts.
-Herptivite (Mon and Thurs)
-Per-Cal calcium with d3 (Tues. and Fri)
-and Minerall O (Wed. and Sat.)[/QUOTE]

Thanks,
Jake

I keep my UVB light on 12 hours a day reguardless of outside or not. A baby cham is growing liek crazy right now so he needs as much calcium as he can get and as much UVB as he can get right now.

I keep my heat lamp on 24/7 He has a big enough cage that he has a basking side and a cooling side. Its a red night bulb so when i turn off the UVB light its "night time" and he still has warmth. You need to make sure that thing is on especially during this time of year when it gets cold. You dont want your cham to get below 70 degrees F.

Dont know what miner-all is but if you fill teh crickets before feeding them to your cham and make sure they r dusted good with all teh nutrients he needs you shoudl be fine with every other day.
