Quick question about a dripper

Hi, i was wondering if i take the valve out of my little dripper and say put it into a bigger container will that work?...has anyone tried it?

yup, i have about 3-4 dripper nozzles that i've kept and reused from past drippers breaking on me *aka falling and smashing open on the floor*
