Quick RO/DI Question

hi there, my neighbor has a RO/DI system for his fish tank, he offered to fill my resevoir for my auto mister as needed. he says he can bypass the di-ionization process for me, and also adjust the PH levels too.

my question is:

DI is bad for chameleons correct? so he would have to bypass it.

also, what is a optimal PH level, or does it not matter much?

just want my chamys to get the most outa their misting system.thanks.

you'll never get the answers you search for unless you find them yourself, its a proven fact that people don't give a crap about your water

yeah i searched for a bit, but couldnt find anything on PH levels. and im almost certain that DI water is BAD. just wanted reassurance.

ok, got my answers, took me a long time but after some good articles im going to stick with TAP WATER, here in florida the water aint bad and they arent adding flouride in my county yet, hope it stays that way.

found out that RO water isnt what its cracked up to be, and maybe a scary unkown side effect of increased mercury and aluminum concentrations.

so the DI is out along with the RO. and PH levels will be what they be when they come out of my faucet.
my mist nozzles will be ok.
thanks for nothing, lol.

not after finding out that the AMA did a study of random RO system and found higher concentrations of mercury and aluminum, no thanks. ill stick with tap and deal with the clogging issues if they arise.

So where were you getting the info that flouride isn't in Martin county yet? Would you by chance happen to know about neighboring St. Lucie County or Hillsborough County for that matter?:D

im glad you made me check again. in january they approved adding flouride to our water here in stuart starting THIS MONTH June 1st. what luck huh?

couldnt find the info for st. lucie county, but my bet would be yes its flouridated.

hillsboro county has been flouridating their water since 1994.

guess im NOT using tap water after all. back to buying water.:(
