Today he act at by himself which is AWESOME after 1 day from being back frm the vet. he went after a worm himself and got it first time. he is taking his meds well... lol sometimes... he doesnt like the force feeding to much :(

i was just curious as to a way i can get him water?
i am using the repta aid formula as well... so i know that has some water..but i am afraid to use a syringe incase he like chokes or something.... any advice?

With geckos i used to drop water right over the mouth, on the "nose", one drop at a time, for the ones who needed something diluted in water. It triggered a reflex of licking the nose. Maybe this is adaptable to chameleons? It's worth a try...

I've read somewhere that the veiled chameleon's cassock, or however this translates to english, well the veil I guess, is quite adapted to bring water droplets to the mouth. It could be tried to drop on the veil and see if he drinks the drops arriving to his mouth...?

just suggestions, but none seem to have downsides, so they're worth a shot I guess

other, more "soviet" method as I call them, but desperate times canc all for desperate measures :) if the purpose is administering meds, you could try the good old pill-in-the-sausage tactic used for dogs:

get a syringe and a needle for it, and, well, inject a cricket or silkworm with the med dose...that is, if you can make sure your buddy eats it ;) just try avoiding too many bubbles in the needle, not so much for the burbs of the patient as for the explosion of the superpressurized insects :)

i have to give him 2 types by mouth
both .05mls
then a shot of .01 i managed to give him about 20 cc of water also

That small amount is about the size of a large drop I think. If so, Just get him to open his mouth like you normally would. Veiled are usually pissy and open their mouths and hiss all the time. When he opens it, just put the drop in the front portion of his mouth closest to his nose. Hold him at a slightly head down position. If I'm correct on the amount, he'll be fine. I've done that amount with mine several times using panacur and other meds. Good luck. David

My vet said if you push the fluid out very slowly there is little chance that the little guy will aspirate. My girl ended up being fine so i didn't get the chance to try. I think the dripping on the nose is a good idea too.
