Yeah I am curbing back from silks. I have some eggs in the fridge right now. So I may try hatching out 10 at a time to include them here and there but I do not want him to go back off dubia on me again lolI like to order a variety from one vendor it’s easier that way for me. Still looking for my snails.
Yeah I am feeding BSFL, Dubia, superworms, Blue bottle flies, and Black soldier Flies as my staples. Then I give him 2 hornworms a week but I go to my local pet shop to get those.I need BSFL and ordering springtails to get my bio active ready
Oo yea I want to take the Hustle over cleaning all the time. I feel like it would make the babies happier. I was thinking about blue bottle flies but wasn’t sure if I wanted another flyer in my lifeYeah I am feeding BSFL, Dubia, superworms, Blue bottle flies, and Black soldier Flies as my staples. I did not realize you were going bio active as well.
Yeah I am using the gum container method that JacksJill recommended. I put both the Spikes and BSFL in it once they have pupated. Leave the little door part on the side of it open and they just fly out as they hatch. It is working really well for me because the Black soldier flies creep me out lol.Oo yea I want to take the Hustle over cleaning all the time. I feel like it would make the babies happier. I don’t mind the soldier flies like I mind the normal house ones. I usually throw the pupated ones in a potted plant then they just hatch in the cageYeah I am using the gum container method that JacksJill recommended. No makes sense I forgot about the flies one day and I opened the cage and at least 3 came for my face. Larry wasn’t on my head to protect meYeah I am a control freak so I need the gum container lol
Beman's eating better than me most days, lol. Can't wait till my lil guy isn't so fussy about his feedersYeah I am feeding BSFL, Dubia, superworms, Blue bottle flies, and Black soldier Flies as my staples. Then I give him 2 hornworms a week but I go to my local pet shop to get those.

It’s hard huh. Silks have been the hardest for meI got silk babies hatching for the first time yesterday and today. I will say next time I'll probably just buy some
I honestly blame myself for not introducing more earlier on. All he ever had prior to me was crickets. I got him at about 4 months old. So that was what I fed. When he was almost 6 months old I tried introducing other feeders but I was still feeding crickets. He went for what he knew and left the dubia and superworms but did eat the bsfl. When he hit about 7 and a half months old he went on a weird food strike. he would only eat the bsfl and went off everything else. This is when I brought in Silkworms. He would only eat those and BSFL. But he was barely gaining weight. Then I decided when he was 9 months to put my foot down and only offer dubia for a week everyday... He finally figured out that they were food and started taking them. Now finally at 10 and a half months I have him on a good variety of feeders and he eats every single one that I put in there and is finally gaining weight.Beman's eating better than me most days, lol. Sweet, thanks soo much. And thanks for the detail, majpr helpful. Cletus is just over 4 months, and still will only eat crickets. Because of where I live, it's nearly impossible for me to get any type of roach right now. What else would be a good feeder to raise for a beginner? I'm new to this stuff
Yeah I think it is because it is what they know. I bet he would go for BSFL. Superworms only make up about 10-20 percent of what I feed Beman since they are not overly nutritional. The bulk of his feeders are dubia and bsfl. He gets 1-3 of the two different flies each day as they hatch out.Sweet, thanks soo much. And thanks for the detail, majpr helpful.
