Your Chameleon - He's a male ambilobe panther chameleon. I've had him for around four years.
Handling - Never, he's very shy.
Feeding - Crickets and super worms. Calcium without D3 every feeding and calcium with d3 two times a month.
Watering - King mist. Yes, I see him drink.
Fecal Description - White and brown. No, never been tested for parasites.
History - None

Cage Info:

Cage Type - Screen. 24" x 24" x 48"
Lighting - Reptisun 5.0 and a 75w basking bulb. 6 a.m.-7 p.m. Central.
Temperature - 81-90 degrees in basking. 70 degrees in other areas. 65 degrees at night.
Humidity - Usually around 60-80. To measure I have an electric reptizoo measurer in my cage.
Plants - Yes, ficus.
Placement - Right next to a window. About 3 feet away from the ceiling.
Location - Florida.

Current Problem - My chameleon just walks up to the crickets and sticks his tongue out. It extends about a centimeter. I've seen him try to shoot it but he misses. He gets plenty of food, I just wish he would shoot his tongue.

Here's a picture of him.

What do you feed your crickets and supers? Also you could add some other feeders for variety. It is possible your chameleon is suffering from a vitamin A defeciency which can lead to vision problems. A chameleons vision has to be spot on to aim its tongue at its prey. Do you use a multivitamin? If you are not gutloading your prey properly or using a multivitamin, this could be your problem.
