My female veiled chameleon reached maturity a few months ago. She was showing the teal colors and is getting pretty big. I had been palpating for eggs probably once every other week (the only time she is handled), and tonight I felt two lumps on her stomach for the first time. She is also around the bottom of her enclosure looking for something to dig in. There has been a moist pit of sand that is a few inches deep, which i was told will be good for her to see if she is ready to lay. She is digging at the bottom of the cage and the screen, but not in the pit of sand. I don't want her to become egg bound. Can't afford that. Any advice?
