Does anyone have photos or know of a web site of Receptive behavior and colors for Jackson's....

Thanks

My female was receptive but still chased my male off a bit, rocked, gaped, turned somewhat splotchy black....but he kept trying, she moved slowly away, and they mated. She was totally green while mating but back to being pissed as soon as they were done.

Here is a photo of Kenya courting unsuccessfully. Excuse the messy, messy dreadlocks and blurriness.

i might be mistaken... but are you saying they just mated on your head? haha

Haha, taking chameleon love to a whole new level!

No, not on my head. That photo is from quite a while ago when we were dinking around with the chams and the camera.

They mated on a branch in my males cage, thankyouverymuch :D

That puts a whole new meaning to "Welcome to the Jungle".XD

Seriously. There must be something about dreads- ALL of my chams ADORE them. It is the first thing they go for when out- my male Jacksons loves to sit up on top of my head and display at everything.

Silly cuhmeeruns.

Funny you say this because my friend Paddy has dreads and he watches all of my chameleons when I leave for a day. He says they all hate him and he thinks it is because of the dreads.

It can't be true! :O

Maybe he should just try handfeeding them some wax worms ;) I am sure they will warm up to him.

No I really dont think so, All of my chams love silks and only one will hand feed from him or tolorate him. I dont hand feed, other than rare times.

MY new way of check to see if cham is still gavid, Show her to your 5 year old nephew...."Wow uncle that one is fat...."

Congrats! :) I hope you have enclosures for the babies ready and lots of fruit flies when the time comes

Oh sad....it is def not the dreads, though!

OH I dont think it is the dreads at all. I think it is him being scared of them. The first time he ever was at my house he thought it would be cool to take one out. He grabed the wrong one. Ever since then he is a little shaken by them. And they know it.
