recommended websites for ordering bugs?

I don't have any pet stores near by that have silkworms, horn worms, black soldier fly larva, etc... so I was wondering if anybody has a website that they recommend ordering from? if not, I'm sure that my Cham can get by on just crickets. I just wanted to give her some variety!

Your chameleon NEEDS variety. It's not really an option. If you want it to live a long life, and a healthy life, you deff need variety.

Go to any local bait shop near you.... they carry lots of insects that pet shops usually carry, and it's usually a lot cheaper at the bait shops. that's where I get lots my feeders.

I meant for now. it's winter which means it's cold so it's hard for me to get ahold of these things. also, my chameleon is only 2 months. so thank you for your input!

And to the original poster, I ordered my dubia roaches from abdragons and was pleased with the transaction

I was making the point that, the same thing over and over is not good. Variety is needed, just like we don't eat the same things daily. It was a tad off topic sure, but it's very clear to understand what I was trying to say when I use an example like that.

Yes I absolutely could! It was a pizza from a locally owned pizzeria I used to work at and everything was made from scratch for the most part and it was the best pizza ever! I mean, a change in toppings would be nice every now and then lol. But pizza has your bread,veggies,dairy,meats, so you have quite the variety with pizza!

I use mulberry farms. They have everything you're looking for but they seem to be sold out of silkworms. Coastal silk worms sells silk worms and the prices for the bugs isn't bad. If you don't like either of those, the forums have other sponsors as well their links are on the home screen.

Nick Barta is just awesome. I have sent him pictures of the size of newborn chameleons (pygmy and sternfeldi) and requested the best diet available beyond crickets for their size. I have always opened the package and just smiled - PERFECT!
