Red bar vs blue bar?

I have a 3.5 to 4 month old ambilobe male. I am noticing he has yellow coming in and a few times before I have gotten some pics of him where it looks like he has red/orange bars coming in next to the yellow. Today I took some pics and he was red/yellow striped which I have seen before but it was more pronounced this time.

Do colors develop the same on all blue and red bar when they are younger?

I am wondering this because I bought him as a blue bar but would not be disappointed if he came out as red bar.

This is why I don't want amilobe as you can't tell.
I'm waiting on replies from reliable breeders for true blue nosy be at the mo!

Was offered a pair of nosy mistio yesterday for £400

Nosy be are so pretty! This will be a great excuse (to tell my husband) --- "Well, looks like we have a red bar, time to get a blue bar now." Lol actually I would love one of each but this is my first cham and so far things are going great with him.

So are you thinking of getting the pair of nosy mitsio too? I think the neon yellow looks killer! I do not live in the UK but 400 pounds seems like a good price, no? Sorry don't know how to make the pound symbol I am on my cell phone.

So to be honest I wouldn't say it's a cheap price, quite expensive considering a veiled chameleon is £100, I am struggling to find chameleons as I refuse to have them delivered.

Oh! lol I get it now. I have seen veileds here for as low as $39.99 (they are very young though).

I would keep waiting, their colors will not come in completely for another year. And chameleons will go through phases and then change dramatically. For example, my faly x banja male was blue with red speckling until he was about 8 months old, and then he lost all the red and he looked almost identical to my Nosy be. Then about 2-3 months later he shed an all the red came back dramatically. And he's 2.5 years old now and he is still gaining the red on his face.

So your guy may go through a red bar phase, shed, and then be blue bar. It's really bizarre how they change but their changes can be really dramatic. I would keep waiting to see how he turns out.
