Red flower alien thing coming out of butt

Well, My make Ambilobe has been happy and healthy. He ate a few crickets, i looked in his cage and coming out of his butt was a big red, flowery looking alien thing. is this his penis? Hempeline? I'm confused? It retreated back inside of him and he seems fine, but it was quite a sight. Can someone please explain this to me?

Ah yes, the chameleon flashing. I remember once looking over at a cage and seeing my smallest guy waving his penis around - I swear, apparently it's a little prehensile as well? Then he caught sight of me and very quickly pulled it back in, looking just short of embarassed!
