Red heat light

Can i use red heat bulb as a basking light? i purchased a 2 pack one day light one red but i know now not to use the red at night. When the day bulb burns out can i rock the red as the primary heat source? (Yes i do have a uvb repti sun 5.0 too)

The white bulbs are better cause it is more natural to them like the sun. You can just use a cheap white housebulb.

Yes, regular incandescent bulbs work just fine as heat lights. The red bulbs aren't a good choice for basking. Think about what the world would look like if everything you saw was always illuminated by red light.
