Reddish Ring in Eggs???

So I went to check on my veild's and crestie's eggs and noticed that on the Veild's eggs, each one had this tiny red ring in or around the top part of the eggs.

It's on the inside because you can only see it when "candled". I was wondering if anyone else observed this during incubation and if it's normal???

My guess would be that it's the embryo inside the egg that will eventually develop into a baby cham, but they were laid on the 4th of jan. and it hasn't even been a whole month yet.

I've heard/read that it could take a couple months before even seeing any development, or even veining? I can't really see any noticeable veins, just these red circles.

Any thoughts?

My guess would be that you are witnessing 'the magic' start to happen. But I'm no expert when it comes to eggs so someone else can surely shed more light.

I can't see the pic too well, but the red is the embryonic disc. It just means the egg is fertile and has potential. Not much will happen for a while. When you start to see veins develop, things are then starting to progress and develop.

Forgot to add- those discs are usually present when fertile eggs are laid. Depending on how you set your other eggs though, the discs could be on the bottom or sides where they aren't visible.

Yea.. I found most of them on the top or side, couldn't find them on a couple. Maybe they're on the bottom like you mentioned.
