rehydrating?

Sunken eyes don't necessarily mean dehydration. Eyes are sort of the general "tell" for chameleon problems.

I really suggest you complete the "How to Ask for Help" form (copy, paste into a reply, add your information)

I'm sorry I can't offer a simple response, but I really think your best chance for good advice is to give the responses on "the form" and let the very experienced people here help you.

im sure its dehydration...

im sure its dehydration, my mistking programming messed up. and im aware of the dripper i like that idea and upping the misting. I was wondering how many people have good luck with showers and if anyone uses pedialyte or anything else to rehydrate when extreme dehydration occurs.

thanks guys

I agree on the hornworms and yes I have had success using plain pedialyte along with 1/2 hour misting sessions or showers

Okay, if you know it's dehydration then hydrate like crazy. When I was in your position, I kept a dropper bottle of water on top of the screen. Every time I saw my chameleon get near a side of the cage I went up and started pushing water through the screen. Lots of good drinking happened that way. Wax worms are also good for hydration (I suspect any "maggot" worm is a good choice).

thanks

cool, i gave her a shower today and she drank for a while and i think that bumped her back into her grove. I will be upping the misting also along with keeping an eye on her. thanks guys
