Removing hard water from screen enclosure

i have a veiled Cham who is in a screen enclosure. I do not have a water softener system in my house, so the water I use for his MistKing is leaving awful hard water stains on his cage. I can tell it's that , and not from his calcium powder for crickets because the areas are only where his mister hits directly. This is also on his fake plants that are in the path of the mister. It's driving me nuts though because I want his enclosure to look appealing. I saw threads for hard water removal on glass cages, but nothing for sceens. Does anyone else have this problem and how do you clean/remove it? Once I can get it cleaned I'm going to add a filter just for his misting nozzle so it doesn't happen anymore. Thanks for any advice or recommendations!

K.,
Welcome to the site; glad you found us. One way to tackle it is: Go buy a few gallons of vinegar and a spray bottle. Then, get your guy out and place him in a safe location. Use white vinegar in a spray bottle on the screens. The white vinegar will "dissolve" the minerals that are on your screens with a little elbow grease and patience. When your satisfied with the cleanliness of the screens, rinse/ spray with distilled or RO. It's safe for your cham and you can also use it for GP cleaning of your home and his cage. Thank you! I will certainly try that.

We've used Limeaway, CLR and vinegar for some used cages we were given. None really removed it all and the first two treatments need to be rinsed thoroughly afterward.
We eventually just replaced the screens on the damaged side.
Using R/O or distilled water is the way to go.
