Zoo Med says only use distilled water for the unit. Will it still be okay if i use tap water with a couple of drops of ReptiSafe?

no distilled water has no additive the drops just take out the chlorine but still it can clog it up with tap and the drops your best bet is just to stick with distilled water. but in all honesty i wouldnt even use that reptifogger its crap and runs out in less than a day and it breaks within a few months use a normal humidifier you can get more outta it and use tap water. and it wont break and itll last days till you need to refill it again. heres a little help for you !

I use a reptifogger and have no problems. I use distilled water and let it run all day when the lights are on and shut it at night. I have heard both about the reptifogger fan breaking and the company will give you another fan to install for free. and other people have had no problems, I don't have a problem with mine, just don't run it 24/7.

Is something like this recommended for someone wih low humidity during the day? I do have live plants in his habitat and auto mister.

you just wanna be sure that the humidity in the cage is between like 75 - 85 % i need to actually make the fogger from the humidifier because the highest my humidity gets is maybe 60 % and i have an automatic mister but no live plants which i will be looking into thanks again !

The reptifogger will have the best possible life if you use demineralized water but tap water will definitely not kill it. And if you notice that the fogger isn't working properly you can get replacement ultrasonic transducers (that's the part that makes the fog) at a fairly reasonable price online at allmypetneeds.com

Would RO di water be ok to use. I have a reef tank and I use rodi water for that? Any thoughts?

RO water is fine. I would make sure that your output runs thru a micron filter as the carbon filters can release tiny pieces of carbon that may plug the screen of mister heads. Should be fine in a fogger

My humidity durning the day is 30 and at night about 75. I think I might be investing in one or make one
