Repti-glo

Hello I am new to this and it's probably a stupid question but I am getting a veiled chameleon and was wondering when I go to put him in the bigger terrarium should I have 2 repti-glo 5.0 or 10.0 . The terrarium is about 3 ft long 3 ft wide and about 5 ft tall

Idk about having two? But from what I've read, the 5.0 is best for tropical animals and the 10.0 is best for desert animals so I'd go with 5.0

5.0 , especially if they are inside the cage. But two x 10.0 seems a bit much, even with a shade area.

If it has a lot of foliage I would use a 10.0 it gives you deper penetration. On my 2x2x4 I use a 12% Acadia has a lot of foliage so he can get out of the light if he wants

I uploaded a pic I want to set it up perfect so any help or advice would be greatfuly appreciated.(I'm not sure if I uploaded it right) wanted live plants. Whatever is the best for him/ her.it has 2x24 inch lights diagonally set from corner to corner side by side.

Are you using live plants I haven a umbrella plant I forget name shereffa aborical maybe and a big pathos in mine and a lot of horizontal benches so they can choose where they want to be thermoregulating is big for them

Have you looked into Arcadia lighting products? They're put out more uvb and come in multiple sizes so you would only need one bulb, Todd from light your reptiles is great as well, you can send him your enclosure picture and he could point you in the right direction

These are pictures of my male and female cages today when I was doing a big cleaning and trimming of plants. With my cages I like using a plant light along with the uvb and basking lights. Chameleons like when their habitat is bright. I use sticks from outside mostly for my cages a long with some dowel rods. A lot of people have different opinions on the uvb depending on a few different things.

Of course they are very beautiful creatures and to be able to own one/ one own me lol it's amazing and we will charish have it in our family and thank you I was worried about people judging me I guess for not knowing lol

No not on here. Everyone really appreciates when people get everything right before getting them. Instead of having to ask questions about what's wrong with their chameleon. From something they did wrong in their hubandry because they didn't research and take the time to really get everything right. This site is full of information about veileds care sheets to follow and all
