ever since i got the repti sun 5.0 my chameleons colors seemed to dull quickly, is this a common thing with this light... and dont ask me all that info on his cage, lighting blah blah i know everything is perfect... ive done my research.

ive been told by a few other people i know who have chameleons that it can dull their colors and that the 10.0 would make them more vibrant.. i dont know who to trust

I'd take 'em out in the sunlight to see if they color up again. Perhaps the bulbs are faulty.

I have been told by credible sources that the zoomed reptisun 5.0 uvb is the way to go. Some of the biggest breeders out have given me this recommendation. Then again other big breeders w/ gorgeous animals say to use a 10.0 uvb for more intense colors, I have heard these 10.0's can cause eye probs however. I also have heard the exo terra repti glo 5.0 uvb is junk, but I like the blue color it has. I wonder why this is different than zoomeds 5.0 uvb?

Agreed if the temps are right where you live Natural sun makes insane colors. Mine are on my patio right now looking like rainbows.
