I am using an 36inch aquarium quad T5HO fixture on top of my 2x2x4' enclosure. The T5HO bulbs i have in there are each 6500k. My question is, does anyone know the color temperature of the reptisun 5.0?
The 6500k's i have are bright and reach down to the bottom of the cage. But when i turn on just the reptisun by itself, it seems quite dim in comparison, more like a 3000k bulb and reaching down only about half the cage. To me it seems a bit off for a T5HO. This is my first ever uvb bulb so i dont know if this is normal or whether i have a faulty tube. Are they typically bluish white and quite dim looking?
Luckily i dont have my cham yet and would like to sort this out before bringing one home. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
