Is this suitable as a calcium, Vit D3 and a multi vit suppliment? (I have calpyso calcium powder without D3 aswel. I also have leopard gecko dust by sandfire super foods/T-REX although im not sure if that is suitable for a cham but i cant see why not).

You should really look into Miner-All.
They had a huge write-up on them in the reptile magazine.

You need a calcium without phosphorous.
1 bottle of calcium w/ D3
1 bottle of calcium w/o D3
1 bottle of a multivitamin(herptivite)
1 bottle of Miner-All, Miner-All comes in two forms. (I)nside and (O)utside
(I)nside has D3 and (O)utside dosent have D3

so why do i need miner-all if one of the calciums i have hasnt got D3 BUT the other suppliment i have does have D3 + other vitamins? i dont understand because i have calcium(no d3) on its own and i have a suppliment(with D3 plus other vits). So why do i need more suppliments etc?

The reccomended way to supply your chameleon with calium and vitamins is on different days.
Mon and Thur-Calcium
Tues and Fri-Vitamin
Wed and Sat-Miner-All(o)

The reason I'm on the scheduel is because you should supply your chameleon with as much calcium as possible. Not as much D3 as possible!
The miner-all(o) dosent have D3 in it.
I rotate weekly between calcium w D3 and W/o D3.
So on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Satudays you will be giving him calcium. Every other week you wil be giving him calcium with D3 two days a week.

There are 2 schools of thought regarding supplementation.

The first is to use specific supplements , ( such as cal w/D3, cal without D3, vitamins and a mineral), seperately , so that you can control each as your chams need to be adjusted.

The other is to use an all in one supplement that is dosed for daily use. This theoretically does all the tweaking for you.

But what do you do when your cham needs less D3 or you want to taper back the vitamins?

The Nekton product that you are asking about is rare here in North America, so I doubt you will find much in the way of experienced comments on that supplement.


Does anyone out there use Nekton?? I'm actually thinking about trying it . It is available through Herp Supplies .com

as long as you can regulate between those 2 , it should be good, but you may be missing a mineral supplement entirely...

well i think it will be ok i just dont see the point in buying lots of different calciums etc when i have multi vits that contain all of them plus a calcium on its own.

It's expensive for this stuff, I paid $8 for Calcium, and $14 for a herptivite multivitamin
