Rescued Veiled. Need help until Friday

i am afraid to say he definitely does not look good :( try to force feed him, as for that is all i can say at this point. Chameleons need a lot of hard work and care if you like one as a pet. Obviously the previous owner did not care for him at all which makes me so mad, clear sign of neglect. Just keep him warm and happy and of course always offer him food. and also make sure everything you feed him is dusted with something beneficial. Just a quick question, what does his poop look like if he has pooped anything out.

He hasn't pooped and no urates since I've had him.
Its sad that I can have a thriving WC Jackson's, but this guy is doing so poorly

you do not know of any vet near you, tell them that it is an emergency i think my cham is dying which is what is mstly happening :(
The only good herp vet isnt in until Friday this week. I cant force force her to be in sooner and the other i dont care for as she recommends cfls and heat rocks

i completely understand that she is not around. Yea i wouldnt trust that vet..i have one more question, is your cham sleeping during the day or up and just basking.

He isn't sleeping, but he is now off the vine in the hospital cage and on the ground. Nothing is looking good for him
could you possibly post a pic of the cage? No sleeping during the day is a good sign, that means he has the strentgh to keep himself up during the day.

The hospital cage. Why? I'm not some clueless newb. My Jacksons is fine. My cresties are great, our beardie is fat and happy. This guy is in awful shape and Im tryingnto help and reaching out to get other ideas

ok i am very sorry i asked, i just dont know what else to do for you. Go back through the thread and get some of the other ideas from earlier im just afraid there is nothing we can do at the moment without a vet

I don't mean to harsh, but you have failed to recognize how severely dehydrated and near death this animal is and has been for several days. That it didn't happen in your care is irrelevant. You chose to wait a week to get this animal seen by a vet because the only available vet recommends cfls and heat rocks. If I was intent on trying to save this animal, I wouldn't care if the vet recommended witchcraft--I would be more interested in getting the animal to a vet who can give sub-q fluid because I can't. If you honsestly are trying to save this animal, you would have taken it to the vet on Friday. You don't need the best vet in the world to give sub-q fluids, you just need a vet. There are no other ideas.

I didn't even he him until well after the vet closed on Friday. Even if I did call the crap vet,who to say I could see them before.
At this point it doesnt matter as soon as my husband is home im taking him to the emergency vet to be put down,he has suffered enough

try to keep him alive, just bring him to a vet. I do agree that you waited to late you should have brought him to any vet :(
