Reverse Osmosis Water

Ok so I'm going to be getting a MistKing soon and I need to know where to get large bottles of RO water. So for those of you who don't have a RO system in your home, where do you get your H20? Thanks

Before a RO system I was using distilled from the store. There are stores out here that you can go to and have them fill up your containers with RO water, but that's in Cali.

i goto a water store and get the big jugs filled for $3 each :)
up here the place is called watermaker, not sure about the US tho

I use regular tap water (treated with reptisafe) and do a vinegar/lemon juice wash of my lines and nozzles any time I notice buildup of minerals. I would use CLR, but I don't know if it would hurt the plastic or not.

I'm in the same situation, actually. Probably ordering my Mist King today. I hadn't thought too hard about water sources, but it makes sense. I don't want to be cleaning deposits out of nozzles every month or two and changing out hoses.

I hope I have a better RO water source in Virginia than Walmart. I can't stand going into that place for even 5 minutes.

I would say getting the 1$ jugs at walmart would be the best bet, although that can really add up as the time goes by depending on how much you use.

I don't own a mistking but I do buy distilled water frequently for my 20 gallon salt-water tank. There are some nice RO systems avalible at most saltwater fish stores online if you are interested in one, although they are about the same price as a mistking, maybe more.

See if you can find either stores or machines in front of store that offer RO water. That's how I buy mine. You refill your containers. It costs me about 30 cents per gallon (some places I go it's 35, but sometimes that's just more convenient).

Yeah the one gallons at Walmart are only thirty three cents. I live in a small town in Kentucky. I'm sure I could get water from somewhere around here but Walmart was the most obvious. That's where I used to get my Distilled from when I was using that. Going into Walmart does suck. That's why I get a bunch at once.

That sounds pretty reaonable. Thanks. I'll check out some of my stores and see if they offer RO.

Can you get RO water from there??

Yep! You sure can. In my Wal-Mart it's back by the dairy/refrigerated section. I never noticed it until recently either. So you might have one hidden in there. The jugs we have say "Water Island" and it is RO water. You just put the jugs in the machine, press the button, the water falls into the jug, and wa-la! You now have RO water. I was paying around 88 cents for distilled. The RO is 33 cents for refills. Which I don't understand how they would know if it's refill or you just grabbed a new jug. I guess I'll find out next time I go in there.
