Right front leg swollen and favoring

my 6 month old nosybe panther chameleon's right wrist is a little swollen and he is not really wanting to put it down. I had the doctor where I work check it out and she said it didn't feel broken. The only change I have made is I started using repashy calcium plus eod I am wondering if I could be giving him too much vitamins. I normally give plain calcium daily, calcium with d/3 every 2 weeks and multivitamin every 2 weeks. I did not see him fall. I can have radiographs done if needed but I don't want to stress him out if it's not necessary.

The Calcium Plus wouldn't have caused that. My thought is maybe an injury while climbing around the cage. I would give it a few days and see if he starts using it again.

I honestly wouldn't recommend using repashy calcium plus every other day. I would do it 3 days out of the week and use plain calcium the rest of the week. It could be an early sign of a form of MBD, either too much vitamin D3 causing this too appear or not enough calcium, both are considered a type of MBD. However, it could just be a really bad sprain or something. It could be a tiny fracture which in my opinion only xrays will show. But there's not tons that can be done for fractures in my opinion, though I am not positive on this at all, since I am not a vet. Maybe someone else will chime in here. But if it is a fracture I would highly recommend getting a liquid calcium to help it heal. And if it is MBD depending on the type he will need liquid calcium.
