Got up this morning went over to say good morning to my cham Mia, couldn't find her no where. Spent around 5-10 mins looking for her, starting to panic and that some how she had got out. Then i find her, right in front of me sitting in her umbrella plant looking at me has if im an idiot. I swear chameleons must think us humans are really stupid and get such a good laugh at us.

Sometimes i look for Yoshi to feed him and i can't find him anywhere. I'll put the crickets in a cup and he's right there near the cup. I have no idea if he suddenly ran there or was there all along. He's like the creature in the movie Predator.

Sounds like your cage has just the right amount of cover. I think one major reason chams are so invisible is their ability to be completely still. Even if they blend in color wise, their amazing caution and ability to hold everything in control to avoid any motion or reaction to an intruder is a feat.
Don't feel bad...I couldn't locate 3 24" green and yellow striped adult melleri in my rainforest free range all the time!

Thats not as bad as me loosing track of my mellers in his cage! I was looking for a good five minutes and he was right in front of me the whole time. lol

We knw they have to sitting there laughing at us everytime we have to search for them. I know for me I when I search sometimes it takes me a little while to find them and there usually right where I first looked. Yes, this does include my mellers since he likes to hide while free ranged!

Yip she does, i've just put live plants in not that long ago, didn't think i'd be able to keep them alive but they are still going. I have two umbrella plants and two weeping figs. Mia likes to eat one of her umbrella plants so dunno how long that was is gonna last. LOL, she has loads of willow branches to walk on to. I think i might move in. lol

I usually spot Marley fine, it's my dad who sucks lol.
He'll come down and be like 'Marley isn't in his cage, no he really isn't' and then then I go upstairs and see him straight away and just look at my dad and walk off lol

Funny thing is that today I walk in and I play the "wheres the Cham" game and I dont find him. I turn around and hes staring at me from across the room! Thats what I get for thinking I cant loose track of my chameleon!
