RIP my beloved chameleon "Cham" Blue bar ambilobe panther chameleon.He passed away in my hands yesterday afternoon at 5:50pm on my birthday (what a rubbish day that turned out to be!)
He was 4years and nearly 4months old.
I had him since he was 3months old and have watched him grow up, and watched as he gained his colours, and grew in size and character. He was the best cham you could wish for he was fiesty with his food, but so mild and tame to people, he never bit me, he would climb out of his mesh viv, walk along the door frame, and climb on to me, and climb on top of my head to get the best views of the room lol. He liked to wander around my room, and when allowed liked to sunbathe in the garden.
It was sad to see him go but he was suffering in the end, he had an eye infection 2 weeks ago which he was taken to the reptile vets for, he had scratched the lens of his eye and got given antibiotic eye drops, seemed to clear up a bit.
Then in last couple of days he started sleeping in day, and unwilling to eat and drink, he was meant to be goin to the vets this morning. He fought right up until the end when he gasped his last few breaths when he passed away in my hands yesterday. I cried as i held him and felt the strongest grip he had, he suddendly stuck out his tongue a bit and his body went all numb and weak though he was a glorious shade of bright orange and yellow.
Cham you were the coolest, greatest best pet ever, and my best friend, you will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Love you forever RIP CHAM xxxxx :'(
