RIP Kiri 🥺💔

Experiencing a heavy heart after finding my girl Kiri passed away.

I checked on her this morning, as I always do, expecting to see her on her basking branch. Didn’t see her there, looked through her plants and down at her laying bin with no signs…only to find her hanging lifeless to the right of me. She had laid her first clutch back in Aug (picture below was her burying the eggs), and it felt rewarding to provide her with what she needed. I don’t know how I failed her, and it’s breaking my heart. Although I do plan on owning another chameleon at some point, I think I am going to take a bit of time so that I can assess everything and figure out what I did wrong and what I need to do, to better the life of the next one.

So sorry for your loss. It would be good to figure out what happened if you can…but also, maybe get a male next time so you don’t have to deal with possible reproductive issues.
