how many roaches do you give your Veiled cham.
Im looking for a schedule.
Thanks for the help you guys rock.

I have Oustalet's, but my guys will normally eat 2-5 large (1"+) dubia every other day. I have to limit my guys though cause they are little porkers and will eat anything that moves!!

My Oustalet's is around 9 months and is as big as my full grown male veiled. He eats 3 adult male dubia a day on the weekends. He doesnt eat much of anything during the week, he might go for a light snack on thurs or friday.

adult cricket = .25g
male adult dubia = 1.50g
female adult dubia = 3.00g
adult superworm = .50g

Since dubia have about double the nutrients of a cricket, 3 adult male dubia are about the same as 2 dozen crickets.

Thank you

Thank you I just got 250 small/med mixed and they are gut loaded with dino
and I just got the dino gut load.

What do you think of his main diet being the roaches ?
Mixing in butter wormes and other worms now and then ?

Im thinking about staying away from crickets.

Well its kinda against the rules here to have a "main" feeder. On the other hand my first veiled lasted 6 years on just one fuzy a week.

My guys diet is dubia, super worms, and some type of caterpillar. Last 2 months was horn worms. Next 2 months will be silk worms. Im blessed with 2 mulberry bushes behind my work, so if it works out it will be cheap food for summer.

Dubia are excellent with the easy gut load. If you dont want to go crickets, the next best thing for gut loading would be super worms(half the shell of meal worms). Another one you could try is phoenix worms. Mine didnt care for the worms, but he loved when they turned into flies.

The whole point of variety is prevent hunger strikes, and for a more well rounded diet since diff feeders eat diff things better.

I just rescued this guy last and all he has eaten his whole life has been crickets.(no supplements)
He really eats what ever I put in front of his face. I have been giving him a few drops of liquid cal. in his mouth every other day for the last week. I gave him a the supplements he is supposed to be on VIT.D calcium, multi vitamin and straight calcium ect.

I just wanted to pump him up and what I have found is that the roaches are super good for him. Im gut loading them right know with dynofuel. This seams to be a lethal combo.

Im a rookie and just trying to do this right. So any input is much appreciated.
This forum has been amazing and the people are even more amazing.

Wish I could get my guy to eat roaches, I offer them daily in a cup but he prefers crickets ATM. I have superworms but they are all large so can't feed them to him right now so going to order some other variety if worms next week after the Holidays.

I like this schedule. Very similar to what I was feeding my Adult Panthers and Veilds

I like to give 2-3 dubias for protein and roughage, some Phoenix Worms for calcium, with a juicy caterpillar, preferably a Hornworm or a Large Silkworm to help the digestion, which are also high in calcium.

I actually only dust occasionally to help "fill in the blanks" nutrtionally and honestly I like to use Repashy's Calcium Plus or SuperPig, which has a lot of superfoods in it that help bring out the coloring of your reptile.

Let me know if you have any feeder related questions, I'd love to help where I can be of most service :)
