Roach Light

Does anyone know if roaches can see the color red? I know that ants can not, but don't know the deal with roaches. My blaberus hybrids have a heater under their tank, and a lamp. I switched it out for a red bulb just in case, and they are definitely coming out more. What I am trying to figure out is.....are they out more because they can't see red or is it just coincidental and I should have saved the money and not bought the expensive, "supposedly infrared" heat lamp that just happens to be red color.

I use a blue 25w heat lamp... and I just looked in the cage and I can see the buggers in the water crystal dish. The tank has a little glow to it, not much. I also have a heat pad under the tank.

Edit: I have dubia... maybe dubia don't see blue?
