Roach Question

I'm a new chameleon owner and I know that roaches are a popular choice for larger chameleons. I'm curious is there a concern for then infesting your house? Have anyone has problem with this?

I have only ever heard of red runners (turkistan roaches) infesting a house. They can live and reproduce in snow causing temperatures. But the ones I have kept die within 24 hours when outside their enclosure due to need for heat and humidity.

Like Andee said, the most popular species for feeding are from tropical areas and need a lot of warmth and humidity. I live in Florida and even my escapees don't last long inside.

I use heat pads on my tubs. Ceramic heat emitters reduce humidity, I mist my high humidity tubs, once a day. I always provide dry chow and fresh fruit. Lots of egg crates to provide territory for males.
