Roaches scurrying

Went into the room where the bugs are kept and all I could here was the my roaches running around. I shined a flashlight into their cage and I noticed the males running around aimlessly. I havnt ever noticed them acting like this before.

Does anyone know why they would be doing this?

It was 11 o clock at night, they have a heat pad, and eat at the moment apple, grapes and lettuce.

Just curious why they would be doing this... I couldn't beleive the sound comming from them.
Thanks for any replies

dubia?
The males are very active at night .... the females too, but especially the males.
This is when they flutter and can escape if you don't have a lid on your enclosure.
