Some say that it is important to feed your roaches a high protein diet. What would be a good source of that? Ive heard dog food, but ive also heard that could be bad for your Chameleon.
 
Well you generally will want to isolate your feeders 12-24 hours prior to feeding and allow them to indulge in Greens. So take out what you need.
 
A recent herpatologists article sited by my herp vet suggested that chicken scratch is higher in protein then any custom gutload available. I haven't tried it yet.

Collard greens from your grocery store.
Mustard greens.
Cricket chow gutload.

I feed my colony dogfood and collards until they're removed for feeding, then it's collards and cricket chow until they're eaten.
