Scratching

So lately when I work from home, I’ve noticed Spyro does his “morning patrol” of his enclosure, then starts scratching at the cage. I take this to mean he wants out, and usually let him out to climb on some plants and jungle vines I have set up beside his home. I think I’ve trained him to scratch and he’ll get let out.

Does anyone else’s Cham scratch to get out?

He’s become quite lively now that I let him explore.

It’s good to let them explore in a controlled environment, like a “baby proof “ area, just lake sure all the things and plants he’s roaming around on are safe and he’ll be a happy guy...I’m building a chameleon jungle myself right now...it wasn’t my original idea but most people on here think it’s great to have outside of enclosure time

“Baby-proof” is such a good term! When I first started letting him out, I didn’t realize that some seemingly innocuous things could be hazardous. It’s been quite an evolution. I’m pretty sure all is safe for him now. Ever since I’ve started letting him out, he’s even more active in his cage too! Like he’s gained some type of climbing confidence or something.
